Demand for long-term accommodation
The St Helena Property Finder is currently experiencing a surge in enquiries for both rental and holiday properties, catering to short and long-term stays. It seems there’s been an influx of approved contracts signed of job opportunities on the island, driving demand for long-term accommodation as well as seasonal holiday lets.
At present, the most pressing requests are for long-term rentals, particularly for single individuals or couples. I’ve received several specific enquiries, including:
- A 3-bedroom property in Saint Paul’s HTH, is required for a 3-year lease starting at the end of the year.
- A 2-bedroom home for a family of three and two well-behaved dogs, needed by January, ideally near school commuting routes.
- A couple with a small dog seeking a 2-year contract starting in January.
- A couple already on the island looking to relocate from a damp area to a drier one.
I understand that some property owners may not wish to use the Property Finder listing service (perhaps due to cost considerations), but given the current demand, I’m happy to assist by sharing your property details directly with potential tenants if you have availability or are open to engaging with prospective renters.
If you’re a homeowner or agent interested in filling a vacancy, please send me an email with the relevant property details.
This will allow me to connect you with suitable enquirers. Note that I will only share contact details received via email, listings@propertyfinder.sh or https://www.propertyfinder.sh/contact-us/ as I don’t have the capacity to manage requests through other channels such as social media where this post has spanned several channels.
