St Helena may no longer be one of the most remote destinations to reach, but it remains an extraordinary place to visit. Its unique character and beauty are evident in its contrasting and stunning scenery, rich cultural heritage, and exceptionally diverse environment. These are just a few reasons why St Helena is perfect for active exploration and discovery.

When planning your visit to St Helena, consider booking self-catering accommodation. This type of accommodation, defined as a self-contained property, guarantees cleanliness, comfort, and readiness to welcome tourists and visitors.

St Helena’s diverse heritage-based attractions, both built and natural, offer a wealth of activities. From exploring Jamestown to the rugged coastline, and from rolling hills to the striking geology of Sandy Bay, there’s much more to the island than meets the eye. St Helena boasts varied heritage and nature, breathtaking views from the highest peaks, inviting waters, and a quaint charm.

Choosing self-catering accommodation in St Helena allows you to design your holiday itinerary freely. Options range from one-bedroom apartments to two-bedroom guest houses and modern bungalows. Traditional properties often include separate living spaces, kitchen facilities, and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Accommodations can be rented by the week, for short breaks, or by the night, based on your needs.

Benefits of self-catering accommodation on St Helena:

  1. Home Comforts: Ideal for families or groups with dietary needs, self-catering options let you prepare meals as you like. Fully equipped kitchens allow for flexibility in meal planning and accommodating picky eaters.

Can you tell me anything about the rebuilding/ renovations going on at Teutonic Hall? Is it to be B&B? My husband and I are planning on being in St Helena in April 2020 for our 50th wedding anniversary – and to see my parents’ graves! Mr and Mrs Mawson!

Well we never did make it to St. Helena in April. My husband, John, developed Parkinsons Disease and is not happy travelling abroad now. Then the Covid-19 virus hit everywhere. I am still wanting to visit the Island again and may do so with a girlfriend next year 2021 if travel opens up. We will be coming from the USA. I shall be looking for a place to stay…. any news about Teutonic Hall? Please email me sometime…John C.? Thanks.
